Recently, an Air India plane crashed in Kerala, sparking many questions about the cause. From what I've gathered, the main factors contributing to the crash were adverse weather conditions, a challenging tabletop runway, and possible pilot error. Heavy rainfall and low visibility made it difficult for the pilots during the landing approach. Additionally, the tabletop runway at Kozhikode airport is known to be particularly challenging due to its limited length and steep drops at the ends. While investigations are still ongoing, we cannot rule out the possibility of pilot error playing a role in this tragic incident.
