Kedarnath temple wreaths up as its portals are set to open tomorrow. Kedarnath temple will welcome only 16 people, including the chief priest when the gates of the temple will be opened tomorrow i.e. April 29, 2020. The Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand is being garlanded as the sacred portals of holy shrine and it is scheduled to open tomorrow. As per reports, only 16 people including the chief priest of the temple, will be present when the gates of the temple will be opened. As of now, the Darshan for the devotees in the temple will not be allowed due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak followed by the subsequent Pan-India lockdown. The Kedarnath head priest along with his group left with Baba Kedarnath’s ‘doli’ on Sunday morning from Gaddisthal to Gaurikund. The ‘yatra’ was done on a vehicle till Gaurikund, while the rest on foot to Kedarnath Dham. Uttarakhand Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj announced on Monday, April 27, 2020, that the portals of the Kedarnath Temple will be hurled open for pilgrims form May 14, 2020. In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, the pilgrimage was delayed by the authorities to ensure the social distancing and prevent the spread of disease.
