Relive all-time classic F1 races with Star Sports India

With Star Sports India broadcasting an array of classic races, Formula 1 enthusiasts are in for an absolute treat! The global COVID-19 outbreak has disrupted life all across the planet in more ways than imaginable. Since social-distancing measures and indefinite lockdowns have forced people to stay inside their houses during this period, TV channels have taken the onus upon themselves to ensure folks stay entertained in these trying & difficult times. After Doordarshan recently came to our rescue by re-telecasting some of its most popular TV shows of the by-gone era, Star Sports India has started a similar initiative for F1 fans across the country. Starting Friday (10th April), Star Sports India will broadcast the highlights of four classic F1 races every week on its Select 2 HD & SD channels. Highlights of one race will be shown on Friday & Saturday each (in the 8-9 pm slot) and highlights of two races will be covered on Sunday, in the 7-9 pm slot. Fans also have the option to vote for the races they wish to see (on Sunday) on Star Sports India's social media pages. The proceedings began on Friday with the 1984 Monaco GP (as it highlights one of the most prominent driver battles in F1 history, the one between Alain Prost & Ayrton Senna). Those who missed it on Friday can catch it on Sunday (the fourth race of the weekend is a repeat broadcast of the 1984 Monaco GP). For the forthcoming weeks, Star Sports has created a pool of races (from which, fans can vote for their favourite) that ranges from the 1988 Japanese GP to the 2003 Japanese GP.
